Composed of aluminum and titanium oxides, Altite® is a synthetic advanced ceramic specifically engineered for applications requiring extreme thermal shock resistance and near-zero thermal expansion.

Aluminum titanate Altite® 

  • Exceptional Dimensional Stability: Maintains precise tolerances in thermal processes due to a near-zero Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE).
  • Maximum Thermal Shock Resistance: The inherent micro-cracking architecture absorbs and offsets thermal stress, preventing catastrophic failure during rapid temperature fluctuations.
  • Non-Wetting Characteristics: Excellent non-stick properties toward molten non-ferrous metals—such as aluminum, magnesium, and tin—effectively prevent process contamination and streamline cleaning procedures.
